Gung Hay Fat Choy 2012!

We want to always show Cali how important her culture is to us! One way is by celebrating the Chinese New Year! We love to celebrate this special time! We decorate our home and take part in many activities throughout the 15 day celebration. We went to the annual CNY celebration at our local art museum and shared some fun with her kindergarten class! What a busy yet fun time of the year!

(6 years ago I had a little Chinese girl in my 1st grade class that was adopted from China as well. She painted Chinese ornaments for Cali as a gift to her when she came home. Each ornament has Chinese writing on it. Each year we decorate with these ornaments. Thank you for the memories, Maleigha!)

Cali had to strike a pose!

We are filling red envelopes with candy, gold coins, and fortune cookies for her kindergarten class!

Check out my red envelope!
